Designations:
- Unrestricted: Donating to the Healthy Start Coalition’s Unrestricted Fund directly supports the health of mothers, infants, and young children in your community. Your contribution allows for flexible resource allocation, enabling the organization to meet immediate needs, improve programs, and initiate new efforts. Every donation empowers Healthy Start to make a meaningful impact without constraints.
- Save My Life Program: Empowers women of color with culturally relevant support and education on childbirth, breastfeeding, kangaroo care, safe sleep, parenting, and interconception care. It is entirely funded by private donations, grants, and special events.
- Por Ti y Para Tu Bebe: “For You and Your Baby” offers educational classes/support at various locations in the community to Hispanic/Latino pregnant women and new moms with an emphasis on childbirth, breastfeeding, safe sleep, and parenting. It aims to overcome language/cultural barriers and offers incentives and transportation assistance to motivate attendance and encourage ongoing learning.
- The Dr. Washington Clark Hill Endowment Fund: Honors Dr. Hill’s significant contributions to Healthy Start in Sarasota County and supports Healthy Start with assets at the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, enhancing the Save My Life Program.
