Vaccination Day
Black individuals have historically faced health care inequities, and Black communities continue to have barriers to health care access. FREE and open to the public and during National Minority Health Month, the Stay Well Community Health Initiative and the We Can Do This Campaign will partner with organizations in Sarasota-Bradenton on the ongoing effort to improve vaccination rates and bring health-related resources and screenings to our communities.
SAVE THE DATE: Saturday April 22, 2023 is Nationwide Vaccination Day. The Sarasota-Bradenton Vaccination Day Event will be held at Light of the World Church, 3809 Chapel Drive, Sarasota, FL 34234 on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
This event will offer COVID and other vaccines and health resources/screenings to the public. COVID-19 vaccines are free. Other vaccines will require your respective insurance card and Medicaid HMO. NO CHARGE TO MEDICARE RECIPIENTS. This is an adult and children event. Similar free Vaccination Events will occur in 30 other cities across the nation on the same day.
The vendor for the vaccines and the immunizers is Walgreens. The other Sarasota-Bradenton partner organizations are the Sarasota NAACP, Gulf Coast Medical Society, Multicultural Health Institute, Light of the World International Church of Sarasota and the W. Montague Cobb/National Medical Association (NMA) Health Institute.
