2016 Match-Donation Challenge!

This holiday season, hundreds of pregnant mothers are grateful that Healthy Start Coalition of Sarasota County’s programs and services were there for them this past year. And we give thanks to our donors and supporters for helping us give so many babies a Healthy Start. We simply couldn’t do it without the generous support of so many in our community. With a handful of full-time staff members and a group of dedicated volunteers, we are able to provide a comprehensive group of resources to support and help pregnant women and new families before, during, and after pregnancy.

With donor support, we provide real hope for the future through the ongoing growth of unique programs like Save My Life here in Sarasota County.  This program’s free classes support pregnant African-American women as they prepare for childbirth and later works with them as new breastfeeding moms and babies.

We are especially grateful to a very special Healthy Start supporter, Rachel Levey-Baker who, in association with the Sullivan Foundation, has stepped forward with an exciting challenge. The Sullivan Foundation will DOUBLE the impact of your gift if received before December 31st. So, for example, your $50 gift becomes $100, as it will be matched dollar-for-dollar until we reach $10,000.

This comes at a crucial moment, as we work to secure funding for the Save My Life Program for the next year. The program was recently awarded a $30,000 grant from the Bank of America Client Foundation, and nearly $10,000 in support from Sarasota County. With your help, we can reach our total annual program goal of $50,000, and continue this vital program throughout 2017.

Thank you for giving women, children, and families will get the Heathy Start they deserve.

Make a donation before December 31st and it will be matched, dollar for dollar, by the Sullivan Foundation!
